How to create cells to play a song or video from your music / video library

You can set up a cell in Grid 3 to play a song or video from files stored on your device. This can be useful if you don’t want to increase the size of your grid sets.

Be aware that it will only work on the device that the file is stored on, and it relies on the file remaining in the same location.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download this grid set from Online Grids
  2. Go to Edit mode
  3. Click on the Netwon Faulkner cell and delete the existing text within the Arguments box
  4. Now find your music or video file in File Explorer
  5. Copy the file destination
  6. Paste this into the Arguments box followed by \
  7. Then go back to the song or video and right click > properties > copy the file name including the file extension
  8. Then paste it after \
    Eg. C:\Users\Jessica\Music\songs\Netwon Faulkner Medley.mp3
  9. Update the cell label as appropriate
  10. Close File Explorer and try your new cell

Once one cell has been created , this can be copied, and the Argument and label changed as appropriate.
