Environment Control Transmitters and The Grid 2

In The Grid 2.9, we improved support for the Gewa Prog and EasyWave and added support for two additional popular environment control transmitters.

EasyWave

The EasyWave environment controller previously automatically detected the COM port to use. This was a problem on some computers, so the COM port is now manually selected or automatically detected in the same way as the Gewa Prog and Tira.

EvoAssist

The EvoAssist from RSL Steeper is now supported (requires separate TelnetSender application). You need to specify the IP address for the EvoAssist controller in Program Preferences. You can then use the EvoAssist command to send messages to the EvoAssist controller. The messages need to be looked up in an EvoAssist engineer’s manual.

The “old” commands for accessing the signals recorded to the Prog memory are still available in the complete command list, but they no longer appear in the Environment Control section of the command list.

Gewa Prog

Previously this environment controller stored the recorded infra-red signal in the memory of the Prog. We now store the recorded signal on your computer, so this works in the same way as other environment controllers.

The “old” commands for accessing the signals recorded to the Prog memory are still available in the complete command list, but they no longer appear in the Environment Control section of the command list.

IRtrans

The IRTrans is also now supported. The LAN version is supported but the USB version is not currently supported.

Tira

UUIRT

Z-Wave
