Grid 2 Cell Styles

To ensure that cells have consistent formatting throughout a grid set, The Grid 2 provides a styles system. This is very important for the end user because it means they can quickly identify the type of cell they are selecting. If you are familiar with styles in Microsoft Word, this is a similar system. Styles can be used to change the shape, colour and font for cells.

Preset Styles

When editing a cell, you can choose to give it a preset style. There are some preset styles that are always available, such as Vocab Cell and Jump Cell, or you can add your own preset styles.
Editing a preset style will change all cells that have been assigned that style. For example, if you change the background colour of the Vocab Cell preset style, the background colour of all cells using this style will change.

  • Press F11 to enter Editing Mode.
  • Double click on a cell.
  • Click on Change Style.
  • Select a Preset Style from the list. Your changes will affect all cells that use this preset style.

Individual Styles

Occasionally, you may want a cell to have a unique style that is different from all the other cells. To do this, select Specify this cell style individually. This cell will not be affected by any changes to preset styles.
