Grid 3 not starting after running Windows 7 updates
Some users have experienced issues starting Grid 3 after running recent Windows 7 updates. These updates have upgraded the version of Microsoft .Net but have caused some issues with the registry and Direct X.
If you are experiencing difficulties opening Grid 3 after running a Windows 7 update, follow the steps below:
- Go to Control Panel – Programs – Add/remove programs
- Uninstall .NET 4.7
- Go to www.microsoft.com/net/download/framework and download and install .NET version 4.6.2
- You can now either install Direct X 11 and .NET 4.7, or prevent the update to 4.7 by modifying your registry:www.ghacks.net/2017/06/12/blocking-net-framework-4-7-installation
- Restart your device to run Grid 3
