You can import audio files that you have already recorded for message banking into Grid 3.
The following file formats are supported: mp3, m4a, wav and wma. You can also import .zip files that contain multiple recordings.
To import your banked messages:
1. Open Grid 3, browse to the menu bar (three lines, top left corner) and select Settings – Speech – Message Banking.
2. Select Add, then select Browse.
3. Navigate to the folder on your computer that contains your audio files.
4. Select the files you want to import. If you want to import all the files in the folder, press Ctrl A then select Open. For individual files, hold down the Ctrl key and click on each file. When you have finished, press Open.
Your imported messages will now be available to use in Grid. Imported messages will automatically be placed in the “top level” category.
You can create and assign your own categories in your Message Banking settings, by selecting the message and clicking Edit.
Note: Grid will use the original file name as the text for your message, so you may need to edit your messages after importing them. Select your message in settings and press Edit.
Make sure that the text in the Full text box exactly matches your recorded message.
For example: you may need to change “Recording 2” to “See you soon”.
