How do I move and resize cells in Grid 3?

The ability to move and resize cells in Grid 3 is useful when thinking about ordering vocabulary, creating a focus on certain words within a grid and creating grids that suit a specific access method.

Moving a cell

  1. Open your chosen grid set, browse to the menu bar (three lines, top left corner) and select Edit grid.
  2. Highlight the cell you want to move and press and hold (click and drag) and slide it into position.

Grid will automatically make space for the new cell in the location. To swap the location of two cells, select one and drag it over the second.

Resizing cells

Highlight the cell you want to resize, you will notice blue toggles appear at the corners. Select and hold then drag to resize.

Cells don’t have to be square and can be sized to suit your needs.

Note: Resizing a cell to change its shape will overwrite any cells it covers. To make sure this doesn’t happen, ensure existing cells are moved out of the way before resizing.
