MyTobii eye tracking not working with The Grid 2 after update

If you have a MyTobii P10 you may find the eye tracking no longer works after a Smartbox Update.  This is because of updates to The Grid 2 to work with the new Tobii software for their CEye, which you will need to install:

  • Go to the Tobii download site and save the ‘MyTobii_2.4.5.zip’ file to your desktop.
  • Close all applications, including the MyTobii software.
  • Stop the TET server by right-clicking on the TET server tray icon (the little blue ‘t’) in your task bar, and select ‘Stop’.
  • Go to the Control Panel, and double click on Add/Remove Programs
  • Remove Tobii Eye Tracker Server and MyTobii from the list of programs.
  • Unzip the ‘MyTobii_2.4.5.zip’ file, and open the folder.  Double click on setup.exe, and follow the instructions.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Run Smartbox Update one more time.
