Playing Music in Grid 3

If you are looking to listen to music in Grid 3, there are several different options available to you.

Play a single song

If you are looking to play a single song, a play music file command would be the most suitable option. For this you will need to download the song first, but once added into a grid, the song can be moved to another device, by simply exporting the grid set. However, if you have lots of music this can be time consuming, and can cause your grid set to become large and potentially run slowly. See example below :

Grid 3 Accessible apps

If you do have a lot of music on your device, the most suitable option would be to use the ‘music and video accessible app’ grid set – this automatically populates with music from your media library. You have the option to organise these via artist, album or A-Z of song titles. Before you start using the app, make sure your music is set up in Windows Media Player. To add more music, add it to Windows Media Player first, then restart Grid 3.

YouTube

If you do not wish to download music to your device, and your device is connected to the internet, you can also use links to YouTube videos. We have 2 existing grid sets or you could create your own more simplified grid set, creating a page with numerous cells, with jumps to a grid with a web workspace, and go to web page commands.

You can use Jess’ YouTube Test grid as an example.
