Programmable buttons on Grid Pad 12

The volume up and volume down buttons on the Grid Pad 12 can be customised in Grid 3. These can be assigned a number of Grid commands so your buttons can, for example, start an eye gaze calibration or exit a grid set and start Grid Explorer.

  • Go to Settings – Access – Switches
  • Under Configuration tap Connection
  • On the next screen, tap the drop down and select Keyboard.
  • Select the switch you want to configure and tap Change Key
  • A new window will open, press the volume up button on the Grid Pad, this assigns the button to the switch press
  • Tap the back button to return to the switches screen
  • Select Commands
  • Tap Add switch
  • Select the switch you assigned volume up to and tap Add command
  • Now select the command you wish to trigger with the switch and select Ok
  • Tap Ok to close the settings window and test your button
  • Repeat for the volume down button
