Saving a contact from an SMS or Email in Grid 3

As of Grid 3 version 3.0.22 (June 2017) you can save contacts from a received Email or SMS in Grid 3 using the ‘edit contact’ command.

SMS

Navigate to your SMS inbox and go into edit mode (menu – edit)

Select a blank cell – create cell – SMS – ‘edit contact’

You will then need to add a jump command to the same cell.

Add command – Jump to – ‘Contacts–editor’

You can then finish editing, and the ‘edit contact’ cell will navigate to the contact editor page, and automatically populate the mobile contact.

You may wish to change the label of this cell to ‘save contact’.

Email

Navigate to your Email inbox and go into edit mode (menu – edit)

Select a blank cell – create cell – Email – ‘edit contact’

You will then need to add a jump command to the same cell.
Add command – Jump to – ‘Contacts–editor’

You can then finish editing, and the ‘edit contact’ cell will navigate to the contact editor page, and automatically populate the Email contact.

You may wish to change the label of this cell to ‘save contact’.
