The Grid 2 not recognising Tobii PCEye

When you use the Tobii PC Eye Go camera with The Grid 2, you may find The Grid 2 does not detect the camera and you cannot select Tobii under user settings.

No-PCEye

The Grid 2 uses a registry entry to detect if the PC Eye or PC Eye Go camera is installed. This is set via a registry entry. Unfortunately later versions of the Tobii software do not make the registry entry and it must be set manually. The correct entry will depend on wether you have a 32 or 64 bit version of windows and also if you have the old or new style camera. You will need to determine which version you need.

To detect if you have 32 or 64 bit windows:

Explore Windows and look at the C: drive. If you have a “C:Program Files (x86)” and “C:Program Files” folders, you have a 64 bit operating system, if you only have “C:Program Files” you have a 32 bit computer.

To detect which camera you have:

The original PC Eye has two connections: A USB connection and a separate power lead. The new PC Eye Go camera has a single USB connection

Download a fix:

Once you have determined which system you have, download and unzip this archive containing all reg files and double-click the appropriate file to add it the registry.
