Unable to change settings for Grid Player after iOS 10.3.1 update

You may find that after the iOS 10.3.1 update, Grid Player and other third party apps are no longer listed in the Settings app on Apple devices (these normally appear when you open the Settings app and scroll to the bottom section).

This means you will not be able to change the Grid Player Settings for hide/show Settings Button and on/off Closable Grids.

If you do not have access to the Settings Button in the Grid Player app, Grid Explorer will be unable to change your voice, check your version, contact support or Deauthorise (log out).

To fix this problem, first try restarting the Settings app, however if that still doesn’t work you will need to force restart your Apple device following the steps below:

  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo
  • Then turn on the device

You should now see all third party apps listed under Settings, including Grid Player.

From there you can select Grid Player and change the Settings as required (hide/show Settings Button and on/off Closable Grids).
