Eye gaze clinics
Our free eye gaze clinic days are available in the UK and ireland. They offer a great way to trial a variety of eye gaze cameras with a number of potential users. We can work with 8-10 students or patients to explore a wide range of hardware and software whilst having fun and finding the solutions that will fit your classroom or hospital.
During the day we set up an assistive technology system with a selection of resources aimed at introducing eye controlled activities. From simply exploring looking at the screen to developing skills for eye gaze, there is something new for every individual to try, including:
- Sensory experiences
- Teaching cause and effect
- Developing eye gaze skills
- Eye tracking analysis to help ascertain undiscovered cognitive abilities
- Introducing AAC
We su
pply a range of eye gaze cameras so you can rest assured that we will find the best solution for your classroom. The sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, introducing a new way, or even the only way, to access a computer for many of the students we work with.
Following an eye gaze clinic at her school, Speech and Language Therapist Valerie Stewart told us ‘As the day went on everyone became more and more excited and teachers were lining up their pupils to be assessed, pupils we had not originally thought would benefit! We learned so much more about each pupil in such a short time, and know that for some of them eye gaze technology will be their best hope for the future.”
