By the end of the workshop attendees will be confident making adaptations to grid sets for different access methods. At the end of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
Eye gaze
Eye-gaze technology allows you to navigate and control your computer by tracking where you are looking. Eye gaze is often seen as the most flexible access method as it can be used across a variety of conditions and abilities.
Pointer
This is when you interact with your Grid by moving a mouse and pointer and activate cells by click, dwell, or activating a switch.
You can use a traditional mouse, or opt for head trackers, motion trackers or joysticks.
Switch
Switch is when you use an external switch to interact with your device. This may be a simple button or a more complex device activated by facial expressions or muscle movements.
Touch
This refers to using your fingers or a stylus to active a cell on your grid. You can combine touch with other access methods or use independently.
We have a range of training resources to suit you, including options for beginners in Grid, a variety of free webinars and personalised training.
Our software is used by people with disabilities from all over the world. We have solutions for everything from getting started with AAC to controlling your PC.
