Claire uses Environment Control in many different ways…
Infrared (IR): IR remote controls use light to carry signals between a remote and device, such as a TV. By learning the signal from a device’s remote and then assigning those functions to cells on a grid set, a user can control device functions like power, volume and channel.
–
Radio: EasyWave and Z-Wave plug sockets use radio waves to turn on mains powered devices, so you can control devices like lamps and fans.
–
Voice: You can also use your Grid voice to activate virtual assistants like Alexa. This is a good option if you don’t have IR or Radio EC hardware.
