Communication Matters 2021

Communication Matters, 13th – 17th September 2021

Smartbox is once again delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Communication Matters conference which is taking place virtually between 12th – 17th September.

The Communication Matters International AAC Conference is the UK’s leading annual AAC event. Over the course of five half days online, participants will enjoy a diverse programme of keynotes, plenaries, presentations, posters and talks from AAC supplier companies.

As sponsors we will be providing three sessions during this year’s event.

Kerry Vacara from Smartbox and Euan Robertson, an experienced SLT will provide an interesting and inspirational insight into 100 Voices, a collaborative pilot project that Smartbox is currently delivering with CareTech.  100 Voices is supporting 100 children and adults within the CareTech network including Cambian Schools with a Smartbox device, training and ongoing support so they can have a voice and in some cases, achieve independence for the first time.  We are hoping this project with lead the way in raising greater awareness of AAC, how it can achieve positive outcomes, funding and support.

We will also be showcasing two exciting new products that will be launching later this Summer!

Finally, Daisy Clay or Head of Content will be discussing a new low cell count symbol vocabulary solution that we will be launching in Grid before the end of this year.
