Voco Chat is now available in 7 new languages!

Voco Chat is a low-cell count symbol vocabulary designed to help people communicate for a range of reasons and join in conversations.

The latest update of Grid expands our range of Voco Chat languages by 7 to include Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hebrew and Portuguese. We will be continuing to increase the number of languages offered so keep an eye out for more languages coming soon!

Jump between languages

Watch this video to see how you can set up a jump between languages. This is particularly helpful for bi-lingual users!

Voices in other languages

To set your voice to a different language, open your grid set, go to Settings – Speech – Voices, and use the drop down box to select your voice.

Please be aware, Welsh voices require a licence from Ivonna voices, and are not currently available in Grid for iPad.

Personalise your pronunciation 

You can make sure a name is pronounced correctly or change settings to fit with your dialect.

To alter or correct the pronunciation of words go to Settings – Speech – Pronunciation and type the word which needs to be corrected and the new pronunciation.
