Update 10/01/18: Microsoft have released an update that restores Grid 3 functionality.

 

Following from the issues that affected Grid Pad 13 devices running Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB – Grid 3 and some other software not starting – Microsoft have released a new update.

The new update was first made available on 3rd January 2018 and includes everything that you should need in order for the affected software to run as normal once again. Devices should download this update automatically in the next few weeks if they haven’t already. Your device will need to be connected to the internet in order to find the update.

To manually force the update, open Windows Settings from the Start Menu . Go to Update & Security and press the button to Check for new updates.

Windows should start downloading and installing all available updates. We would recommend that your device is connected to power whilst this takes place. Once the updates are ready, the update screen will inform you that the device needs to restart to finish the installation. Press the Restart now button and when your device has restarted the software should be working again.
