Keeping safe on visits
It’s so important that people have access to communication, despite the challenges are all facing.
In the UK we offer free visits for people to try our technology, explore a range of access methods and resources for communicating. We’ve been working hard to ensure we can deliver these visits in the safest way possible, so people can continue to try our technology.
We’ve adapted our free visits and workshops so they can be delivered both virtually and face-to-face. As requested by the NHS, we’re also able to offer face-to-face visits to people undergoing Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGP), to support our most vulnerable AAC users with communication.
Our UK visits
Whether you’re an individual looking to try AAC or a professional wanting to learn more, we have a range of options to meet your needs.
Try our technology
If you’re based in the UK you can try a range of devices from the comfort of your own home, and explore the best alternative access method to suit you. Then we’ll go through resources for communicating with symbols or text.
If you’re a professional we can also come to your organisation and find the best solutions to trial with multiple clients or students.
Learn more about our solutions
If you’re working with a range of clients, your local Assistive Technology Specialist can visit you and your team to show you our latest equipment and software features, and train you on how to use them.
Book a workshop
For those of you that would like to learn more about AAC, supporting AAC users and the basics of Grid, we can provide free workshops that show you how to get started.
During face-to-face visits we wear PPE as required (including masks, gloves, aprons and visors or goggles) and temperatures are checked daily. All devices are cleaned thoroughly after each user, and we can provide transparent pull-up screens to support social distancing.
When we visit individuals who undergo AGP, we wear a higher level of PPE (including long-sleeve gowns, and FFP3 respirator, eye protection and gloves).
