WordPower 60 is here

Since its launch last year, we’ve had brilliant feedback on WordPower 100 in Grid 3. We’ve spent the last 9 months working intensively with WordPower creator Nancy Inman to bring you a new 60 location version.

The same robust, core vocabulary

WordPower 60 is included with Grid 3 and provides a robust, evidence-based vocabulary that makes developing novel sentences both quick and intuitive.

This new grid set makes WordPower accessible for people who need larger and/or fewer cells on their device. The larger cells can be helpful for users who have motor, visual or developmental difficulties – enabling them to access cells more easily and accurately.

Having fewer cells on a grid may also be handy for users who are younger or at an earlier stage in their language development.

To add WordPower 60 in Grid 3, update to version 3.0.24 (or later) and go to the Add grid set menu in Grid Explorer. You will find the WordPower grid sets under Symbol Communication.

Low-tech WordPower grids

We’ve also been developing low-tech versions of both WordPower 60 and 100, which you can print off and use. Each two-page communication grid consists of core vocabulary, an alphabet for spelling and some useful quick phrases.

You can download the low-tech grid sets for WordPower 60 and 100 from within Grid 3, or via the WordPower webpage.
