How can I tell if my Grid 3 grid set is compatible with Grid for iPad?

Nearly every grid set in Grid 3 will open in Grid for iPad, however certain commands do not function. You can check if these are in use by opening Settings – Grid set and looking at the grid set analysis. You will see a compatibility percentage.

Grid sets uploaded to Online Grids will only display in Grid for iPad if they meet 100% compatibility by default.

If your profile has grid sets that contain commands that are not supported by Grid for iPad, you will see a notification when you activate a cell.

Grid Player and The Grid 2 grid sets are not compatible with Grid for iPad, however these can be converted by loading the bundles into Grid 3 prior to sending them to Grid for iPad

I want to buy Grid for iPad for my school or business, how do I do this?

Grid for iPad is eligible for the App Store Volume Purchase Program (VPP).

This allows registered organisations to purchase the app and distribute it to staff and clients.

If you would like to purchase 20 or more units of Grid for iPad, and are an eligible business or education institution, the Apple VPP program allows for a range of billing options including invoicing. Another benefit is that once enrolled in the VPP program, you can manage the installation of the app across your devices through Apple’s Multiple Device Management (MDM).

To find out more about the VPP for businesses visit: https://www.apple.com/business/vpp/

To find out more about the VPP for education visit: https://volume.itunes.apple.com/gb/store

Please note that the VPP is not available in all regions.

To be enrolled in the VPP program you need to meet Apple’s requirements, such as having a DUNS number (if you are a business). You can also apply for VAT exemption in some regions.

Note: You cannot purchase in-app purchases in volume, the subscription version of the app is not suitable for VPP, instead use the Grid for iPad version with price attached.
