How it works

Install Grid 3 on multiple devices across your network

You can manage the installation via your site server, as well as authorise new licences and devices. You can also choose where Grid 3 stores and accesses data.

Grid 3 provides a breadth of tools and features to support communication and learning

This means that your learners can now use the same software for AAC and accessing the curriculum; your staff have a simple and easy-to-edit platform to create fun and engaging activities, to support curriculum delivery; and your parents and carers can now support learning at home through a familiar platform.

You will need

Grid 3 installers

Your network manager can use the Grid 3 MSI installer to push Grid 3 out to your network.

There is a additional MSI installer to enable education licencing on each device. The username and password for this will be provided with your welcome email.

Grid 3 licence and access code

To complete the Grid 3 installation process you will need both the licence key and passcode. These will also have been provided in the welcome email.

How Grid 3 can be setup on your network

Each student has their own user profile

Before you begin deploying Grid 3 across your network, consider how Grid 3 will be used by your students.

User profiles store each student’s access options, voices and settings. Students can log in on any device and retrieve their grid sets and settings.

These profiles can be stored on a device locally or stored on your server.

Network user profiles

If your network provides students with a personal login then Grid 3 can be setup to display their individual user profile.

This means all the student’s user data, such as speech settings, access configurations and grid sets can be accessed on any device.

Standard Grid 3 install

The standard installation will show you all user profiles that have been created on the device or computer.
