Personalised AAC Training
Work with an Assistive Technology expert to create a personal training session on Smartbox
software and devices. We deliver training virtually or face-to-face – offering flexibility to
access training when and how you need to.
Our training is bespoke – a member of the team will discuss your training requirements,
and design a session that is relevant, engaging and gives you the skills you need to be
successful with AAC devices, Grid, Look to Read and Look to Learn.

We can cover a wide range of topics in your training.
Typical topics to get started with AAC could include:
- Get to know your AAC device, care for and manage your device
- Get to know Grid software
- Understand the grid sets you will be using, including vocabulary grid sets that use symbols or are text based
- Get started with editing
- Personalising a grid set
- AAC development strategies
Typical topics to learn how to do even more with AAC could include:
- Getting to know your Accessible Apps
- Understanding how to use Environment Control
- Computer Control skills
