Personal speakers for audio feedback
Grid Pad 13 comes with two sets of speakers, one set is used to amplify your voice so you can be heard by everyone around the room and the other is used to project sound from the device back to the user to assist with communication and navigation. Personal speakers can assist the user in a variety of functions. Here are a few ways personal speakers can work for you: A range of AAC and AT users may benefit from auditory feedback, including people who experience low vision who may benefit from personal speakers so that they are aware of which cell they are selecting. When you use switch scanning, or auditory fishing (via touch or pointer) in Grid 3, your chosen auditory feedback voice can repeat commands, words, or phrases back to the user to guide them through the different options they can select. These helpful prompts can support an AAC user’s navigation using personal speakers. As the voice is projected personally to the user, it can be used to read private WhatsApp or text messages which you may not want broadcast to the rest of the room. Personal speakers can also be used to listen to music, videos, podcasts and more, without playing it to everyone in the room.Ways to use personal speakers
