The third generation Remote Power Button comes with Grid Pad 13. Use the Remote Power Button to: 1. Power on your device 2. Power off your device 3. Set up switches away from your device The Remote Power Button has two switch ports marked S3 and S4 that can be used for switch access away from your device. Grid Pad 13 is the first device that offers users the option to add a four way switch elimination. Add a command to your switch, for example: Speak Now Command to say a set message or an Instant SMS Command that you can use to raise an alarm or get help. You could have two switches reserved for switch scanning, and two setup with Grid commands. In your switch scanning settings, the Further options category allows you to program a switch with functions like Reverse the scan direction, or go Back up one level. You could have a switch setup for scanning, one setup for reversing the scan direction, and two more switches programmed with commands. Setup a switch to perform another action by programming a Long hold. For example use a regular hold to switch scan, and a long hold to reverse your scanning direction. With four switches, you could program up to eight different actions. Grid Pad 13 is our latest communication aid, and is ready to use with any type of alternative access.
